THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
RAYMOND ELLIS, 86 and of Ryan Gardens in Ferndown, admitted being the owner / person in charge of dog dangerously out of control causing injury, after a border collie injured a man in Ryan Gardens in Ferndown on August 8, 2023. He was fined £346, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £138 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. A contingent destruction order was made for the dog.
MICHAEL JAMES OSBORNE, 42 and of Richmond Park Road in Bournemouth, admitted driving a motor vehicle while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence and using a motor vehicle when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance in Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on October 19, 2021. He also admitted two counts of failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates' Court on July 4, 2022, and May 26, 2023. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
MARTIN MACGILLIVARY, 41 and of Dewlish Close in Poole, admitted driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance in Canal Road in Bradford on April 13. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
LLOYD GRIFFITHS, 35 and of Lynchford Road in Farnborough, admitted assault by beating after assaulting a woman in Dorset on August 13. He was fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
DARREN JONES, 39 and of St Paul’s Lane in Bournemouth, admitted three counts of burglary other than dwelling – theft after stealing a charity tin, foreign coins and notes from Marie Curie charity shop in Bournemouth on May 2, stealing a PAC tester from Prama charity shop in Bournemouth between May 2 and 5, and stealing a till and cash to the value of approximately £300 from Bond Barbers in Bournemouth on May 11. He was handed a community order lasting until October 7, 2025. He was also ordered to pay £995.86 compensation and a victim surcharge of £114.
CAROLINE HALL, 46 and of Holmes Road in Swanage, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Holmes Road in Swanage on July 15. She was conditionally discharged for a period of six months. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £26 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
