Bournemouth went wild for Peter Andre’s triumphant return on Monday. As the city celebrated England’s Euro 2004 victory, screaming fans of all ages packed the Pavilion to welcome back the pop idol. Waving banners, underwear, and scarves emblazoned with his name, the crowd created a deafening atmosphere.
Even seasoned event professionals were overwhelmed by the noise. A St John Ambulance worker, accustomed to the rowdy crowds at Status Quo, The Who, and Queen concerts, admitted, “This is the loudest yet!”
Despite a six-year hiatus, Andre’s comeback was met with immense enthusiasm. He kicked off the show in June 2004 with classic hits like “Flava” and “I Feel You,” seamlessly transitioning into songs from his new album, “The Long Road Back.”
The crowd was on their feet for his energetic rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Shake Your Body Down to the Ground,” complete with signature dance moves. And the encore was nothing short of electric, with Andre performing his iconic hit, “Mysterious Girl.”
Saving the best for last, Andre surprised the audience by changing into his infamous “I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here” jungle outfit to sing the song he allegedly wrote during his time in the jungle, “Insania.” The crowd erupted in cheers, proving that Andre’s enduring popularity had not faded.
