A MAN was ‘put in a headlock and punched’ as he left a nightclub in Bournemouth town centre.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was reportedly grabbed by a group of men as he was leaving Cameo in Fir Vale Road.
He was put in a headlock before one of the men punched him in the face, seeing him sustain a serious facial injury that required hospital treatment.
The assault reportedly occurred between 12.40am and 1am on Sunday, September 29.
Detective Constable Aimi Cowden, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We take reports of violent actions which take place during our nighttime economy very seriously and we are conducting a full investigation into this incident.
“We have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
