A NEW care home near Sandbanks is hosting an exclusive art exhibition from a renowned artist who takes inspiration from the Dorset coastline.
Marjorie House, based in Crichel Mount Road in Lilliput, teamed up with artist Michael Sole to host an exhibition of his work in a location close to the Poole beaches and harbour, which influenced many of his works.
The team at Marjorie House welcomed their first residents into the care home last month.
During the launch event for the three-week exhibition, which started on Thursday, October 10, Michael spoke about his techniques, passion, and inspirations that make his work so unique to the event’s guests.
At the launch, Michael said: “To be able to display my art, which is predominantly coastal-themed, here at Marjorie House, looking over Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island is really special. I want to thank Marjorie House and Care South, as the setting, the food, drink and the team have been amazing. It really is a special place.”
Sebastian Wiencelewski, home manager at Marjorie House, said: “The residents and care home team love having his work on display, which features crashing waves, blue skies, and beautiful sunsets, which they all enjoy seeing.”
