A CHRISTCHURCH firework display will return following a six-year hiatus.
Christchurch Rotary will bring back its bonfire and fireworks spectacular on Saturday, November 2.
The display will take place at the new venue of The Grange School in Christchurch.
A Christchurch Rotary spokesperson said: “The Christchurch Rotary Bonfire & Fireworks event has been a key part of the local community calendar since 1977, created to provide a safe public celebration following a local fireworks accident.
“After 40 years at Stanpit Recreation Ground, the event was paused due to safety concerns and Covid. This year, thanks to the generous support of Twynham Learning, we are excited to host the event at The Grange School sports fields.”
Early bird tickets are on sale now priced at £7 for adults and £4 for children.
Entry on the gate will be priced at £8 for adults and £5 for children.
Every ticket sold and every purchase made at the event will directly support local scout groups, Christchurch Round Table, and Autism Wessex which will all be represented at the event fundraising through food and drink sales.
Gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire lit at 6.30pm, followed by the fireworks display at 7.45pm.
The event will feature the Gugge 2000 Band providing energetic carnival-style music throughout the evening.
Organisers have said there will be no parking on-site with attendees urged to walk or use public transport.
The nearest public parking is at 2 Riversmeet Leisure Centre.
