AN appeal has been launched over refused extension plans at a home in Christchurch.
The proposals for 2 Watermead at 23 Willow Way were rejected by BCP Council in July.
Permission had been sought for the construction of a first-floor mono-pitched roof extension at the site, incorporating sedum roofs and a first-floor rear balcony area.
But the local authority said the proposed first floor extension would ‘result in a visually dominating form of development’, which would be ‘harmful to the outlook to the occupants of 5 Watermead’ and be ‘detrimental to their living conditions’.
An appeal has now been made by a K Slater to the Secretary of State against the refusal of the planning decision.
Chapman Lily Planning Ltd prepared a statement of case on the appellants behalf to show that “the proposed development fully accords with the development plan, national policies and material considerations and presents a sustainable form of development”.
A decision is yet to be made on the appeal.
