A CONVERTIBLE car continued to drive after two crashes in east Dorset.
The dark coloured car, possibly a VW Beetle or a Mini, was first involved in a crash with a Nissan Juke just before 8pm on Friday, October 18 at Lake Gates Roundabout on the A31 at Merley.
And then the convertible was also involved in a crash with a Ford Fiesta in Wimborne Road in Corfe Mullen.
On both occasions, it did not stop to swap insurance details but a front headlamp was left at the scene of one of the crashes.
Police constable Alex Kimmins said nobody was injured in either crash, but urged the convertible driver to “do the right thing” and come forward.
PC Kimmins said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw either incident, or may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a vehicle matching the one described that is missing a headlight in the vicinity to please come forward.
“Thankfully, no one was injured in either incident. I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would encourage the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop to do the right thing and contact Dorset Police so we can take your account.”
