A CHURCH will be hosting a ‘space to reflect and remember’ three elderly residents that died in a tragic care home incident.
An 86-year-old woman and two men, aged 74 and 91, were found dead in Gainsborough Care Home, Swanage, on October 23.
It was previously reported that seven people were taken to hospital while the remaining residents were evacuated to nearby church, All Saints.
The church shared on social media: “An opportunity to light a candle in memory of those who have died, to pray for those affected by this week’s tragedy at Gainsborough Care Home or simply take a moment to pause and reflect.
“All welcome, drop in for however long you like.”
The gathering will be held from 3pm to 4pm on Sunday, October 27.
Reverend Jo Levasier, of All Saints Church, previously told the Daily Echo that the community response to the incident had been “amazing”.
“People stepped up where they could, another local care home came and provided food and sent staff and all the people who weren’t on duty came down to help. It was an amazing effort."
She added: “Any sort of death is sad, but for us our focus was on the caring of those who needed homes.”
