OFFICERS have recovered an estimated £7,000 worth of stolen goods from a vehicle believed to have been involved in a number of thefts.

In the early hours of October 8, a Ringwood Police road policing unit stopped a vehicle that is suspected to be involved in criminal activity.

The driver was later arrested after the vehicle was confirmed as stolen and a forensic team attended to carry out the investigation.

A large number of tools were found inside the van including DeWalt tools and a cement mixer.

A spokesperson for Ringwood Police said: “The van was seized and attended to by our forensic team to help gain further information to assist with the investigation.

“Fordingbridge officers have then seized over 50 items from inside the vehicle, all suspected to be stolen from Forest residents.

“I am happy to say that 19 of these have so far been returned to their rightful owners, with a value totalling over £7,000.

“However, there are still over 30 items that have not been identified and officers would very much like to return them to whoever they belong to.

“We suspect that these items were stolen between 6th-7th October, somewhere in and around the areas of Fordingbridge and Ringwood

“Please share with anyone you feel these items may belong to and contact us via 101.”
