A POPULAR pub in Christchurch has been named as an official sponsor in the town’s festivities.
The Thomas Tripp has been announced as the official sponsor for the 2024 Christmas Tree in Christchurch high street.
Made possible with a generous sponsorship by the pub’s owners Dave Burns and Jason Giddings, this year’s tree will stand as a stunning centrepiece for Christmas in Christchurch.
Dave said: “We are delighted to provide the Christmas tree for Christchurch this year.
“Supporting our town in the festive season is something we take to heart, and we’re thrilled to contribute in a way that reflects our commitment to the community.
"For us, Christmas is all about togetherness, and we hope this tree is a symbol for everyone to gather around and celebrate.”
The Christmas tree will be a focal point for the celebrations in Christchurch this festive period.
A Christmas Lights Switch On event on Saturday, November 23 is expected to draw visitors from across Christchurch and beyond.
Running from 11am to 7pm, the festivities will include live performances, family-friendly activities, a bustling holiday market, and a festive countdown to the official lights switch-on at 5pm.
The Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr Paul Hilliard, said: “Christchurch Town Council extends heartfelt thanks to The Thomas Tripp for their continued commitment and generosity, which are sure to make this year’s holiday season one to remember.”
