Firefighters came to the rescue of a dog who had got itself caught in barbed wire.
The four legged friend was soon caught free and reunited with its owners.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “One crew from Wareham was called to land at the back of Police HQ, Winfrith Newburgh at 10.03am yesterday morning (October 30) after reports of a dog stuck in barbed wire.
“When they arrive firefighters used small tools to rescue the dog, who was then taken to the vet by his owner.
“The stop message was received at 10.43am.”
In a post on social media from Wareham Fire Station, it read: “It’s not just cats we rescue, this morning we came to the aid of another four-legged friend.
“Sadly, our furry friend made poor life choices today and got badly tangled in some Barbwire.
“But never fear Wareham Fire Station came to the rescue.”
