PLANS have been submitted to demolish a house and replace it with ten apartments.
An application has been lodged by ECA Architecture & Planning on behalf of the applicant. The application proposes demolishing a property at 54B The Avenue, Poole, to construct ten apartments.
The application seeks planning permission to erect a three-storey building on the site for up to ten two- and three-bedroom flats.
Landscaping and an accessible basement level for underground parking and cycle parking are included in the scheme.
The application states the development will “be of a contemporary character with large, glazed windows and doors to ensure maximum natural sunlight to the apartments, reducing the need for artificial lighting.”
The developers propose a communal garden on the roof of the property.
Plans state that developers consider the site to be the appropriate” size and will house ten flats without being “overly large.”
The application concluded: “This lies in a heavily treed area with a range of characters of dwellings and apartment blocks present; therefore the proposed building has no set character to conform to.”
