A SHOP in Southbourne is preparing to celebrate five years in business.
Haberdasherdo, a one-stop shop for all things sewing, knitting, crochet and haberdashery, will have its fifth birthday on Saturday, November 16.
To mark the occasion, a range of activities have been lined up to take place at the store that day.
Staff will be hosting demonstrations on the sewing and embroidery machines, overlockers and cutting machines, and giving customers the chance to have a go themselves.
There will also be special offers up for grabs, a charity raffle with prizes, and plenty of cake and fizz.
Reflecting on the past five years, owner Jane Scott said the business faced “a few challenges along the way” with Covid, but has more recently “gone from strength to strength”.
She has worked to expand the wool and yarn side of the business, increase the product range, and has became a stockist for Brother sewing machines.
Jane and her team also offer lessons and workshops, from sewing and dressmaking to learning to knit or crochet.
