TWO FIRE engines were called to extinguish a bin lorry after an early-hours incident.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to reports of a large vehicle fire in Poole at around 4am on November 14.
On arrival, smoke was found to be coming out the back of a bin lorry.
The lorry was emptied and the blaze was extinguished.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said: “We were called at 4:09am yesterday (14 November) with reports of a large vehicle fire on Alder Road, Poole.
“Two fire engines were mobilsed from Westbourne and Redhill Park and on arrival found the smoke issuing from the waste within a refuse lorry.
“The contents of the lorry was removed and extinguished using one hose reel jet. The vehicle was not affected by fire.
"Our stop was at 4:52am.”
