NATIONAL Highways has announced two dates for resurfacing works on the A31.
Residents and businesses affected by the roadworks will be offered an escort service to and from their homes.
The closure will take place from November 25 for five nights and again on December 2 for two nights.
It is estimated the works will take up to five days to complete at the first stage.
The A31 westbound from M27 Junction 1 to the Ringwood Interchange will be closed overnight for resurfacing works.
A letter to nearby residents read: “We’re writing to advise you of some resurfacing works to the A31 in Poulner.
“To enable us to carry out these works safely, we’ll need to close the A31 westbound from M27 Junction 1 to the Ringwood Interchange.
“Lane 2 eastbound will also be closed. Closures will be Monday to Friday only between the hours of 9pm and 6am.
“For residents and businesses with direct access to and from the A31, there will be an escort service in place.
“Please approach the closure point and await an escort vehicle.
“Please note that properties with access from another route will not be escorted.”
