A HAMPSHIRE council has announced changes to its New Year recycling and rubbish collections.
New Forest District Council has issued the dates and changes for its refuse collections across the county.
Clear recycling sacks and black rubbish collections due on Christmas Day and New Year's Day will now be collected on January 2.
Sack collections are usually due on Boxing Day and January will instead be on January 3.
Sack collections usually due on January 3, will instead be on January 4.
Glass collections usually due on Christmas Day, will instead be on December 21.
Glass collections usually due on Boxing Day, will instead be on December 28.
Glass collections usually due on New Year's Day will instead be on January 4.
Garden waste collections will be paused for two weeks from late December from December 23 to January 5, 2025.
The district council is also reminding residents to add empty aerosols, plastic bottles, tins, cans, cards, and paper to their clear recycling sacks.
If not reused, greeting cards and plain brown gift wrap can be recycled, but any decorations such as ribbons or sticky tape need to be removed first.
Batteries, and electricals (generally any item with a plug, battery or cable) can be taken to Household Waste and Recycling Centres.
