BUCCANEERS slipped to their second away defeat in three days when they were outsmarted 51-41 by Dudley at Wolverhampton tonight.
Bournemouth Castle Cover looked as though they would push Heathens all the way when Kyle Howarth and Daniel Halsey were on a 5-1 in race 12 that would have cut an early 22-14 deficit to 36-35.
But Tom Perry and Tom Franklin turned that into a maximum for the home side in a terrific battle which gave them a 40-31 advantage and ultimately swung the National League clash Dudley’s way.
Bournemouth duo Chris Mills and Mark Baseby were unable to get the 4-2 in heat 15 that would have salvaged their side a league point as Lee Smart and Jon Armstrong guided Heathens to a maximum home haul.
