GARRY May says new Buccaneers signing James Brundle is out to prove King’s Lynn were wrong to release him when the two sides clash at Poole tonight (7.30pm).
Brundle, 23, has joined Bournemouth Castle Cover as a replacement for Chris Mills after lining up only a handful of times for Stars earlier this season.
Buccaneers team manager May said: “James makes his debut for us against King’s Lynn in our National League Cup, quarter-final, second leg clash and wants to do really well against them.
“He rode in four third tier matches for them, scoring double figures in each one.
“But they wanted to make team alterations and he didn’t figure in those plans, although I don’t know why.
“He rides at Peterborough after meetings, so he’s race fit and his bikes are all together.
“I’m hoping he’ll do the same good job for us as Millsy did.”
Bournemouth must beat Stars by at least 14 points to triumph on aggregate.
Buccaneers: Brundle, Mason, M Baseby, Howarth, Halsey, Resch, A Baseby.
King’s Lynn: Smith (guest), Mallett, Lowe, Campos, McDade, Knight, Kerr.
