Great British Bake Off (GBBO) returned for the sixth episode of the 2021 series last week with one baker winning the star baker accolade and another leaving the show.
Each week amateur bakers take part in cake challenges where they attempt to pull off signature, technical and showstopper bakes.
Every episode is a combination of a baking week and last week’s episode showed the bakers taking on pastry week.
Who left Great British Bake Off last week?
Unfortunately, another episode of GBBO meant another contestant had to leave.
This time it was Amanda’s turn to say goodbye to the Bake Off tent.
The 56-year-old Met Police detective who lives in London will not take part in any further challenges.
“It is an emotional rollercoaster but certainly one that I would recommend to any keen baker”

What is this week’s theme on Great British Bake Off?
This week the amateur bakers will tackle Caramel Week where they’ll need to complete difficult baking challenges for the signature and technical bakes followed by an impressive sugar showstopper.
Great British Bake Off will continue to air on Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 8pm.
