Great British Bake Off (GBBO) returned for the semi-final of the 2021 series last week with one baker winning the star baker accolade and another leaving the show.
Each week, amateur bakers take part in cake challenges where they attempt to pull off signature, technical and showstopper bakes.
Every episode is a combination of a baking week and last week’s episode showed the bakers battling it out to gain themselves a place in the final.

Who left Great British Bake Off last week?
Unfortunately, another episode of GBBO meant another contestant had to leave.
This time it was Jürgen’s turn to say goodbye to the Bake Off tent.
Going out on a high, I am so proud that i could pull off this showstopper. Japanese temple architecture, boats carrying jade coloured jewels and tuile flags spelling "sun" and "moon".

The 56-year-old IT professional from Sussex, who moved over from Germany 18 years ago, will not take part in any further challenges.
The programme’s Twitter account tweeted a letter from Jürgen, writing: ““Who wants to fly to the moon if you can be on Bake Off?” Here’s Jürgen’s wonderful letter to all you #GBBO fans.”
