Anne Hegerty's replacement for Beat The Chasers has been revealed, after the 63-year-old contracted Covid and was unable to film a new series.
Back on March 17 Hegerty revealed she had caught Covid after managing to avoid it for two years, meaning she would not be able to take part in filming the spin-off from the usual programme The Chase.
The new chaser replacing her is 38-year-old Issa ‘The Supernerd’ Schultz, who has been popular on the Australian version of The Chase but is yet to star on the UK series.

Schultz has won eight Australian Quizzing Championships and has even competed on the Aussie version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Unfortunately I’ve contracted Covid-19 so won’t be filming this series of #BeatTheChasers. The fantastic @Issa25 will be stepping in for me and I’m looking forward to watching the series when it’s on air later this year. I feel fine, but I'm still positive! (in all respects)

Back on March 17 Hegerty wished Schultz well, tweeting: "Unfortunately I’ve contracted Covid-19 so won’t be filming this series of #BeatTheChasers. The fantastic @Issa25 will be stepping in for me and I’m looking forward to watching the series when it’s on air later this year. I feel fine, but I'm still positive! (in all respects)".
When a fan replied to her tweet questioning Schultz's involvement, Hegerty replied: "Issa is an actual Chaser and has already recorded BTC in Australia, so he knows what he's doing."
