Robin Walker has announced his resignation as several Conservative officials have left their posts.
Walker follows both Laura Trott and Will Quince who have resigned today.
Posting his official statement on Twitter, Walker wrote: "I have today offered my resignation from the Government & look forward to supporting @conservatives & campaigning for #Worcester from the backbenches, it has been a privilege to work to support our brilliant schools."
In his statement, he writes that it is clear that the Conservative Party has "become distracted from its core missions by a relentless focus on questions over leadership".
This follows a significant loss of government officials last night, as both Health Secretary Savid Javid and Chancellor Rishi Sunak resigned from their positions.

These resignations come as Boris Johnson has been forced into a humiliating apology over his handling of the Chris Pincher row after it emerged he had forgotten about being told of previous allegations of “inappropriate” conduct.
Mr Pincher quit as deputy chief whip last week following claims that he groped two men at a private members’ club, but Mr Johnson was told about allegations against him as far back as 2019.
Boris Johnson admitted “it was a mistake” to give scandal-hit former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher his government role and said: “I apologise for it.”
