Backlash has arisen as Celebrity MasterChef fans say McFly singer, Danny Jones was ‘robbed’ of this year’s MasterChef title after English television and radio presenter, Lisa Snowdon was crowned 2022’s Celebrity MasterChef.
The finalists, who recently shared their hopes and fears going into the finale, had to make a three-course meal to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
The show, which concluded last night (Thursday), saw Lisa Snowdon wow the pair with her pan-fried duck breast after cooking duck “not particularly well” towards the beginning of the series, according to Wallace.

However, many have complained that Danny Jones was ‘robbed’ of the top spot with one Twitter user tweeting: “Omg Danny was Robbed.”
Another said: “I’m sorry Lisa and Mel but for me it’s got to be Danny Jones.”
Some users even accused wrongdoing: “Bit suspect when she’s really good mates with John’s wife.”
Despite some backlash, most fans were quick to congratulate the new reigning champion: “Brilliant final. All worthy winners, but @LoveLisasnowdon had the edge. Congratulations Lisa.”
While another joked “Phil and Hollie didn’t win?”
