In an interview with the Press Association, English singer and songwriter, Mark Owen said: “We have been talking obviously about a new record and when that will be and what kind of thing that will be.
“So those kinds of conversations are open and always a part of the background. It is always there in my head. I am always thinking."
He added: “I am looking forward to going back into the studio with Gaz and Howard because it is always so nice to see them, but it is also great to be in that environment and be around them – and to write songs together. So I’m looking forward to us all getting into the studio.
“We have talked about getting in maybe the beginning of next year, going into the studio to start to spend a bit of time. So hopefully that will happen.”
Take That songs
Take That formed in 1990 and are best known for their classic hit songs, Back for Good, Shine, and Patience.
Take That band members
Take that originally comprised of five band members: Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Jason Orange.
However, Robbie Williams left the band in 1995 while Jason Orange left the group in 2014, saying he did not wish to continue touring or recording music.
The band is now a trio consisting of Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, and Howard Donald.
Why did Robbie Williams leave Take That?
Robbie Williams said he was unhappy with the group's management and cited musical differences between him and the other band members.
Tensions between the group would escalate when Robbie Williams was said to have missed rehearsals and partied at the band's expense.
The new Take That film
Mark Owen said: "We have got a movie coming out next year."
The film is expected to be called Greatest Days and will star comedian Aisling Bea.
It will be a jukebox musical of the band's greatest hits such as Back for Good and Shine.
Mark Owen's new single album, Land of Dreams, is also out now on BMG.
