Netflix has announced the release date of a new documentary that will focus on the life of former England and Manchester United footballer David Beckham.
The streaming platform shared a trailer for the documentary to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Netflix said the documentary series, titled BECKHAM, has four parts and will tell “the unseen, unheard and unfiltered story of one of the most recognisable and scrutinised athletes of all time.”
The trailer begins with clips of Beckham as a youngster as the narrator says: “Tonight, we bring you the story of how David Beckham became a global phenomenon.”

Viewers will get to know Beckham’s story from his humble beginnings in east London to his stardom on the football pitch.
The series will feature a mix of never-seen-before personal archive footage from the last 40 years as well as interviews with Beckham, his family, friends and key figures who have played a part in his journey both on and off the pitch.
It will give an insight into his childhood right up until the present day, including his marriage to Victoria Beckham, his four children and his part ownership of Inter Miami CF – the American professional football club.
Gary Neville, Sir Alex Ferguson, Rio Ferdinand and Roy Keane feature in the documentary which will be released on Wednesday, October 4.

David Beckham is married to Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and the pair have four children together.
Brooklyn is the oldest while Harper, their only daughter, is the youngest.
The couple are also parents to boys Cruz and Romeo.
