The Great British Bake Off is known for being a wholesome programme and fans don’t have long to wait until the new series airs.
The baking competition sees members of the public attempt to create impressive bakes each week with the Star Baker title up for grabs for the best.
Bake Off’s iconic tent sees everything from brilliant bakes to baking disasters and each week, bakers have to impress the judges to keep their place in the competition.
While we don’t know who will be taking part in the new 2024 series of The Great British Bake Off, however we do have a start date confirmed for the Channel 4 show.
When does Bake Off start?
The new series of Bake Off will air in less than two weeks.
Fans can tune into the first episode on Tuesday, September 24 at 8pm on Channel 4.
Who are the Bake Off judges and presenters?
Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will return to present the baking show but the bakers will need to impress the judges to progress to the further stages of the competition.
Hammond replaced Matt Lucas after he announced his departure from the show.
Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return to judge this year’s bakes with the amateur bakers hoping to get an iconic ‘Hollywood Handshake’.

Will chocolate week be included in new Bake Off series?
Viewers may spot a change in the new series as the programme teased that one element would be missing from the new series.
Over on the GBBO Instagram account, a post including three videos was shared on August 7, captioned: “We’re not saying the rainy summer is 100% our fault but... #GBBO.”
The first video shows text that reads “we have a confession…” while rain can be seen pouring onto the Bake Off tent.
In the second, GBBO followers can see a montage of clips taken from the iconic chocolate week over the years, where bakers are getting very hot in the sweltering summer heat.

One previous baker says: “Hopefully the ambient temperature in here doesn’t go above 20 otherwise we’re all in for a bit of a worry.”
Before he adds: “The thermometer is saying it’s 25 degrees, not ideal for white chocolate,” as Bake Off star Laura Adlington pats her face.
The next shot shows white chocolate melting in the hands of a former GBBO contestant as she tries to curl it up with a tool for decoration.
The video ends with “there is no chocolate week this year…” as the final installment shows rain battering the tent once more before “sorry about that” appears.
