A TROUBLESOME round of 81 put a huge dent in Hayley Davis’s hopes of earning a Ladies’ European Tour card.
The Poole-born star endured a disastrous second round at the Lalla Aicha Tour School final in Morocco.
Playing at Palm Golf Ourika, the Ferndown-affiliated professional dropped six shots on the front nine to reach the turn in 42.
The 25-year-old’s only birdie came at the short 14th and she signed for a nine-over-par total.
Davis is now 13 over for the tournament and sits outside the top 100.
Competitors play 72 holes before the field is reduced to 60 players and ties after four rounds. The final round will take place at Amelkis Golf Club on Thursday.
The leading five players will earn category 5c membership of the tour and will gain entry to the majority of tournaments.
Those finishing from sixth to 25th will earn membership in category 8 with fewer playing privileges.
Players who make the cut but finish 26th or lower may still join the tour in Category 9b, but with limited playing opportunities.
Davis, who turned professional in 2016, finished 13th in the LET Access Series order of merit this season.
