GEORGIA Hall tomorrow will step up her preparations for next week’s US Women’s Open when she tees off at the Pure Silk Championship.
The Wimborne-based professional is part of the 144-player field competing at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Reigning British Open champion Hall, 23, is due to start her first round of the LPGA tournament at 6.32pm UK time, with the four-day event coming to an end on Sunday.
The players will compete for a share of a £1million purse with £150,000 on offer for the winner of the 37th professional golf tournament held on the 6,379-yard course.
Last year saw the event reduced to just three rounds due heavy rain before Thai star Ariya Jutanugarn emerged victorious in a three-way play-off after Hall failed to make the cut.
The US Open, one of the sport’s five majors, begins on May 30 in Charleston.
Fellow Dorset golfer Hayley Davis will also be part of that tournament at the Country Club of Charleston.
She is in action today at the LET Access Jabra Open in Evian-les-Bains in France.
The Poole-born star tees off at 10.17am UK time.
