DORSET duo Georgia Hall and Hayley Davis both convincingly missed the cut at the US Women’s Open.
Wimborne-based professional Hall – ranked 22nd in the world going into the event – followed up her opening-round 75 with a 78 at the Country Club of Charleston.
With only one birdie across 36 holes, former Canford Kid Hall finished 11 over par across the first two rounds, meaning she missed the cut by eight shots.
Hall has now failed to make the weekend in three consecutive LPGA Tour events.
Qualifier Davis also struggled on what was her major debut.
Despite two birdies throughout a first-round 78, the Ferndown affiliated qualifier followed up with a second round 82 to finish 18 over in total.
