DORSET star Georgia Hall is tomorrow set to begin her third major of the season when she tees it up at the Women’s PGA Championship.
The 23-year-old will compete in a 156-strong star-studded field at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.
With prize money of £3million at stake, Wimborne-based professional Hall is part of a line-up which includes 11 former winners of the event.
The reigning Women’s British Open champion is due to start her quest from the first hole alongside Stacy Lewis and In-Kyung Kim (8.22pm UK time).
Ranked 26th in the world, Hall finished in a tie for 40th in last year’s event, held at Kemper Lakes Golf Club.
She finished in a tie for 61st at the ANA Inspiration in this season’s opening major and missed the cut at the US Women’s Open.
Hall, who earlier this month was named an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list, is set to be joined in the field by compatriots Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Bronte Law, Charley Hull, Mel Reid, Charlotte Thomas and hall of famer Laura Davies.
Elsewhere, Poole’s Hayley Davis is also in action. The 26-year-old is set to tee off in Montauban, France, on the LET Access Tour at 11.53am (UK time) tomorrow.
