GEORGIA Hall continued the defence of her British Open title with a second-round 69 at Woburn, taking her to six under par overall.
Wimborne’s Hall, who shot a bogey free 69 on day one, almost went through her entire second round in Milton Keynes without dropping a shot, until a bogey on the 17th.
However, four birdies ensured Hall remained high up the leaderboard in her best showing of the year so far.
Despite winning this event 12 months ago, Hall has struggled to replicate that form throughout 2019 and finished tied-37th at the Evian Championship last week.
But the Dorset ace appears to have saved her best for Woburn.
Hall is not the only Brit on the charge with Charley Hull and Bronte Law both sitting on seven under.
South African ace Ashleigh Buhai leads the way after day two on 12 under par after rounds of 65 and 67.
Asked if she can draw on last year’s experiences at the British Open, Hall told Golf Channel: “I definitely have the same mentality I think. I’m very confident.”
