DORSET star Georgia Hall pocketed more than $60,000 after finishing in a tie for sixth at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
The 25-year-old carded rounds of 68, 69 and 65 in her latest LPGA Tour event at Blythefield Country Club before a closing 68 saw her finish 18-under-par for the tournament.
Former Canford Kid Hall, who picked up $63,695 in prize money, finished seven shots behind winner Nelly Korda.
Korda carded a closing 67 in Grand Rapids to finish 25 under, two shots ahead of nearest rival Leona Maguire, who capped a superb week with a bogey-free final round of 66.
The victory, which was Korda’s second of the season and the fifth of her career, was set up by a superb third round of 62 which took her three clear of the field heading into the final day.
Maguire wiped out that deficit with four birdies in her first eight holes, but Korda moved clear again with birdies on the 10th and 11th and recovered from a dropped shot on the next with a crucial eagle on the 14th.
Maguire birdied the same hole to stay in contention, only for Korda to birdie the 15th to give herself some vital breathing space.
Hall is now set to tee it up at the Women’s PGA Championship, which begins on Thursday.
