DORSET'S Georgia Hall failed to keep hold of her advantage in the individual standings at the Aramco Team Series event, eventually finishing in fourth spot.
The overnight leader saw her hopes of a late charge ended when back-to-back birdies at eight and nine were followed by bogies at the 12th and 14th holes.
She finished on 11 under after a par score of 73 at Centurion Club.
Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord made six birdies on the back nine to force a play-off with Thitikul Atthaya, which she won to claim the crown.
The Norwegian was five strokes off Hall at the start of the final day and recovered from three bogies during the first nine holes, to regain her composure for a tilt at the title.
Hall also finished two strokes behind Skarpnord and Atthaya with fellow Englishwoman Charley Hull in third on 12 under.
The players were also in teams of four featuring three professionals and one amateur and Skarpnord’s team finished second behind Olivia Cowan’s group, who ended on 41 under and won by three shots.
