BERKSHIRE 301 & 207-8 (23pts) beat DORSET 86 & 169 (4pts) by 253 runs
DORSET slipped to a landslide 253-run loss at NCCA Championship title-holders Berkshire.
Dorset's first defeat in Western Division One was not enough to dethrone them from the top of the group.
However, with Berkshire holding a game in hand while lurking just a point behind, losing the lead is extremely likely.
Dorset's collapse from 69-2 to 86 all out yesterday was the trigger for Berkshire to assume control at Finchampstead.
And there was no let-up from the hosts on the third and final day.
Josh Digby (10) fell to Euan Woods (4-44) early on, sparking obdurate knocks from Oli Soames (44) and captain Luke Webb (14).
The duo faced a combined 231 balls in hope of salvaging a draw with well over 300 runs the deficit.
However, they fell respectively to Chris Peploe (2-29) and Luke Beaven (3-34) to leave Dorset on 81-3.

Woods then picked up the wickets of Greg Willows (1) and Ed Ellis (1), reducing Dorset to 90-5.
Woodruff (59) provided some respite from Berkshire's spin attack with seven fours and a six but no other batsman reached double figures as Berkshire swept to victory.
