THE Ageas Bowl will play host to two England Twenty20 matches in 2022, it has been announced.

England's men will visit the home of Hampshire Cricket for an IT20 clash with India on Wednesday, July 6 before returning to face South Africa in the same format on Sunday, July 31.

The announcement comes in a year which has seen The Ageas Bowl host the inaugural ICC World Test Championship Final and after a bumper 2020 with nine internationals taking place at the venue.

Demand for both fixtures is expected to be high following record demand for recent England matches at The Ageas Bowl which saw England’s last Vitality IT20 at the ground selling out before the start of general sale, and tickets will be allocated via a ballot.

This ballot is open now and available to enter at www.ageasbowl.com/ballot

The free-to-enter ballot closes on Friday, October 8 and results will be shared with applicants on Tuesday, October 12. Entering the ballot does not mean entrants are committed to purchase tickets if they’re successful while ticket buyers will be protected by The Ageas Bowl’s ‘Buy With Confidence’ refund policy.

A range of hospitality packages are also available for both fixtures with supporters able to pre-register for priority access.

As ever, Hampshire Cricket Members will get first access to England tickets with 2022 Members able to get their hands on tickets before the ballot closes. Details of 2022 Hampshire Cricket Membership will be released this Friday, with members able to purchase their tickets for next summer’s Vitality IT20s from as early as September 22.

Ageas Bowl chief executive David Mann said: “It’s always a special occasion when we host the world’s best players and we’re looking forward to another bumper summer of cricket in 2022.

"It’s been great to be able to welcome supporters back to the ground this year and we’re delighted cricket fans in the south will get the opportunity to enjoy yet more world-class action at the venue next year.”
