CHERRIES stars suffered a late 2-1 defeat to Poland with Wales during their Nations League opener, but manager Robert Page named a heavily rotated side.
Both Chris Mepham and Kieffer Moore started in Wroclaw, with what the boss has described as ‘the biggest game’ in their history coming on Sunday.
They will host either Scotland or Wales in a World Cup playoff for a place at the Qatar tournament this.
But in the Nations League opener, Mepham completed a full 90 minutes while Moore was taken off at half-time.
Swindon Town’s Jonny Williams scored the first goal of the game early in the second-half, but substitute Jakub Kaminski levelled with his first for Poland 20 minutes later.
And in the final 10 minutes of the contest, Mepham was unable to clear off the line and prevent Karol Swiderski’s winner.
