POOLE Swimming Club star Robbie Hemmings has qualified to represent Great Britain at the European Junior Championships.
Hemmings will compete in Bucharest between July 5-10.
He is set to take part in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events.
Hemmings booked his spot on the team by breaking the qualifying time at the British Championships in April, setting a Dorset senior record in the 100m back in the process.
Having joined Poole Swimming Club in 2012, Hemmings has worked through the club pathway, seeing him achieve county, regional and national success, under the club's head coach Barry Alldrick.
A total of 42 British athletes will head to the event in Romania next month, held at the Otopeni Olympic Swimming Complex.
British Swimming head of performance development Alan Lynn said: "We have been able to select a team with great potential for Bucharest, which we know will be a hugely valuable learning experience for every swimmer involved.
"Top-level racing against the best juniors from across the continent will be a significant challenge for our young team, as will the chance to experience that moment of competing for an international medal in the cauldron of an intense, unfamiliar arena."
