DORSET 179 & 111-9 (5pts) lost to BERKSHIRE 403-9 & 206-3d (22pts) by 319 runs
DORSET were thrashed by 319 runs after a big batting collapse on day three of their NCCA Championship clash with Berkshire at the Leaze, Wimborne.
Luke Webb's men resumed on 59-0, still trailing by 372 runs, but their demise was swiftly confirmed following just two-and-a-half hours of play on the final day.
Dorset lost nine wickets for 44 runs - all Berkshire needed to secure victory - as wicketkeeper-batter Alex Eckland was too unwell to bat with heatstroke.
Eckland had scored two half-centuries in the draw with Herefordshire last weekend but even he would have faced a huge task to resist the power of Berkshire in this game.

Having batted Dorset out of the game, their spinners took over on an increasingly spin-friendly wicket.
Oli Soames top-scored with 42 but was stumped off leg-spinner Rhodri Lewis, while captain Luke Webb (1) was once more dismissed cheaply as seamer Andy Rishton (2-15) struck.
Will Tripcony (12) and Sam Young (6) fell victim to Lewis and Rishton respectively with the score on 74 as Berkshire quickly ousted the top four.
Following them, Charlie Gwynn was the only batter to score more than two runs in a miserable conclusion.
Gwynn scored 32, hitting six fours, but enjoyed no scoring support.
Simon Woodruff hit two from 34 balls, Ben Fletcher scored a 25-ball duck and James Trodd failed to score in ten balls.
Jafer Chohan (3-1) strangled the run-scoring and Lewis finished with 3-14 as Berkshire's all-round might was fully on display in wrapping up victory.
Dorset are next in action on Sunday at home to Devon in their NCCA Trophy quarter-final clash at North Perrott (11am).
