TWO-TIME national badminton champion Nicky Cerfontyne is running an open day for aspiring players in Bournemouth this weekend.
Former international ace Cerfontyne, who is from Bournemouth, has founded Avanti Badminton, alongside a group of fellow coaches.
And the opening event is set to take place on Saturday, between 9am and midday, at Roy Moore Hall on the grounds of Avonbourne Academy.
Cerfontyne says her aim is "to progress both coaches and players in Dorset and the surrounding area in an attempt to develop the sport in the UK".
She added: "Having started my playing and coaching career in Dorset, I’m exciting about creating something special in the area where it all began for me."
