INTERIM head coach Gary O’Neil appeared pleased with Mark Travers’ return to the side in Cherries’ 3-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
Travers made his first appearance under O’Neil last Monday as a half-time substitute, replacing the injured Neto after he could not continue with a hamstring issue.
With the Brazilian deemed to be out “long term”, Travers was drafted back into the starting line-up for the first time since the 9-0 drubbing away at Liverpool.
Describing his goalkeeper, O’Neil shared: “I thought he made some good saves for us. Obviously he hasn’t played for a while.
“I think like the rest of the group, he can take big credit for large moments.”
Travers is likely to remain in between the sticks when Cherries travel to Leeds United this Saturday (kick-off 3:00pm).
