AVONBOURNE College played host to a national badminton event, with 160 players in action.
Teams entered from across the UK, including Southampton, Portsmouth, Reading, Swindon, Bristol, Brighton, Oxford, Eastbourne, Birmingham and London.
The tournament was organised by the Southern Badminton Association and Bournemouth Bengal Sporting Club, and was visited by deputy mayor David Kelsey.
Food on the day was provided by Winton Tandoori, Masala Bay and Westbourne Tandoori.
Reflecting on the day, Dorset badminton coach Kirsty Wilcox said: “I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to help out and be a part of the tournament.
“What a fantastic event - competitive badminton matches played and a great show of community spirit.
“It is great to see players from diverse backgrounds being represented and this visibility will inspire future generations to take part.”
