THE BLACKGOLD Stadium will play host to the Dorset Senior Cup final between Poole Town and Weymouth.
Reigning champions Poole will have home advantage as they look to defend their county crown against the Terras, with the fixture to be played on Tuesday, March 7.
According to Poole’s website, the decision for the final to be staged at Dolphins’ home was made by a coin-toss, the other option being Weymouth’s Bob Lucas Stadium.
Over the years the final has been hosted at neutral venues, although Poole defeated Hamworthy United at their County Ground stadium last campaign to lift the trophy.
At the Dorset FA headquarters, Dolphins ran out 2-1 winners after extra time with goals from Jack Dickson and Luke Holmes.
National South strugglers Weymouth and Southern League Premier South Poole have dominated the competition in recent years, with both sides lifting the cup four times apiece since 2013.
