SWANAGE Town & Herston slipped to 15th in the Dorset Premier League table after falling to a 5-3 loss at home against Bournemouth Sports.
It is Swans' fourth defeat in succession, leaving them just two places above bottom spot.
Paul Best got the hosts off to the perfect start at Day's Park, heading in from a Jake Streams cross.
Charlie Brassington then picked out Streams, but his shot was saved by Bournemouth goalkeeper Monty Eldridge.
That allowed the visitors to level up the contest by half-time, Karol Borowski netting after a swift counter-attack.
Title-chasing Bournemouth looked like a different side after the break, running riot with a spell of four goals in 10 minutes.
Jack Voisey struck twice, while Jamie Trimble and Matt Gane were also on target.
Swans rallied with home man-of-the-match Brassington netting from the penalty spot following a handball, before the hosts carved out a string of chances.
Cody Moore, Best, Ocean Smith and Brassington all went close, but Sports held firm.
That was until the last minute, when Swanage pulled it back to 5-3 through Jack Goldsack.
Tony Parrott's men next host mid-table Dorchester Sports on Saturday (3pm).
Swans: Hibbs, Magnier, Goldsack, Counsell, Pryor, Dyke, Streams, Brassington, Merredew (Moore, 60), Best, Smith.
