POOLE swimmer Jacob Peters achieved a lifetime best as he claimed two gold medals at the British Swimming Championships.
The former Poole Grammar School student, 22, is now based in Bath and has competed at the Olympics and won gold at the Commonwealth Games in the past.
And he has now added British titles to his list of honours.
Peters was victorious in both the 50m and 100m butterfly at the event in Sheffield.
In the 100m, Peters pipped teammate and two-time Olympic gold medallist James Guy to the title.
Peters’s lifetime best time of 51.16 also sees him make World Championship consideration.
His winning time in the 50m was 22.89, finishing ahead of 2022 world champion Ben Proud.
Peters is a life member of Poole Swimming Club.
