HARRY Wyatt ended a rollercoaster two months of snooker with victory in the ninth leg of the Cuestars Under-21 Silver Tour in Bournemouth. 

The 13-year-old from Ferndown said it was “very nice” to collect his third winner’s trophy of the season at his home club, Greenbaize Snooker Club.

Wyatt, who did not drop a single frame all day, beat Asten Sahota (Southampton) 2-0 in the final to deny his opponent top spot in the rankings. 

He said: “It’s nice to finally win a tournament because I’ve been in a bit of a dip since the under-14s.” 

Samuel Laxton (Portsmouth) was knocked out by Sahota in the last-four but takes a two-point lead over his title rival into the last leg. Wyatt moves up to third. Zain Jeraj (Tooting), who lost to Wyatt in the semis, is fourth.  

Meanwhile, Bradley Cowdroy's hopes of winning the Gold rankings title in his final season on the junior circuit ended in a last-four defeat.

The 20-year-old from Bournemouth lost 3-1 to title-rival Oliver Sykes (Chandlers Ford), who opened up an unassailable lead by winning the final. 

Chandlers Ford Snooker Club hosts the 10th and final leg on Sunday.
