POOLE Pirates secured the BSN Series trophy with ease, coming out 104-76 victors on aggregate, despite defeat in the second leg at Glasgow Tigers.
Holding a 34-point lead from their dominant first leg at Wimborne Road, it was likely to always be a formality for Pirates.
Tigers made a decent start at Ashfield Stadium, but never looked like hauling back the deficit, with focus instead turning to if they could come out on top on the night.
And they did exactly that, winning 48-42, Pirates sealing just five race wins all evening.
Captain Steve Worrall picked up two of those victories on his way to a 12-point haul, Ben Cook (10) also contributing double figures.
Poole will hope this can be the start of an historic treble, with a spot in the Knockout Cup final already secured and the chase continuing in the SGB Championship.
Glasgow instantly cut the aggregate gap with 4-2s in the opening two races on the night. Marcin Nowak, who failed to score in the first leg, was a surprise winner of heat one, ahead of Richard Lawson.
Lee Complin then battled hard to hold off Kyle Newman in a re-run heat two, before spoils were shared in the following race, Benjamin Basso leading the riders home.
Steve Worrall then held off Tom Brennan as Poole recorded their first heat advantage of the night, reducing the arrears to 13-11.
Richard Lawson helped repeat the trick, before victory from Chris Harris put Tigers back in front on the night.
However, the BSN Series crown was all but sealed in the following heat, Ben Cook out in front and Zach Cook coming up the inside of Lee Complin in the minor placings.
Mechanical gremlins for Ace Pijper ensured the scores remained level at 24-24, with Nowak claiming his second victory in heat eight.
The trophy was mathematically secured in a shared heat nine, Basso out in front, followed by Worrall and Rowe.
Wins for Harris and Brennan followed, a delay following heat 11 in which Anders Rowe required treatment after coming off whilst sitting third.
Transponders had to be used to determine the win of a thrilling heat 12, Ben Cook and Basso battling for first place, the Aussie eventually pipping the former Pirates man on the line.
Brennan won an entertaining heat 13, before Glasgow then secured victory on the night, Vissing putting a miserable night behind him to combine with Complin for a maximum.
Team boss for the night Gary Havelock sent Ben Cook and Worrall out for heat 15, the latter crossing the line first ahead of the Glasgow pair.
The two clubs go at it again at Ashfield on July 30, in the league.
Glasgow 48 (76): Harris 7, Nowak 8, Basso 12, Vissing 3, Brennan 11+1, Complin 6+1, Pijper 1.
Pirates 42 (104): Lawson 8+1, Rowe 3, B Cook 10, Z Cook 2+1, Worrall 12, Newman 4+1, Roynon 3+1.
