DORCHESTER Town have pulled off a stunning triple signing with the capture of ex-Poole trio Will Spetch, Corby Moore and Jack Dickson, subject to league approval.
They could make their Dorchester debuts at Hungerford Town tomorrow night (7.45pm).
All three players had significant interest from other clubs, with Moore strongly linked to AFC Totton, Spetch courted by Wimborne and Hamworthy.
Former Weymouth man Dickson also played for Wessex League side Shaftesbury on Saturday.
The trio have made a combined total of nearly 1,000 appearances for Poole and left after boss Tom Killick was last week sacked after more than 19 years at the helm.
Central defender Spetch is Poole's record appearance holder making 491 appearances and scoring 64 goals in a hugely successful career.
He has won five league titles, a Southern League Cup plus six Dorset Senior Cups over a near 18-year association at the club.
Midfielder Moore, who was a member of the Southampton Academy, made his Dolphins debut in the 2015/16 season before going onto make 260 appearances, as well as featuring for Forest Green Rovers, Chelmsford City, Bishop's Stortford and Frome Town.
Dickson is a highly versatile right-sided player, who is comfortable in defence and attack, and arrives at The Avenue having originally made his Poole Town debut in 2013 before going on to make 242 appearances.
He has previous experience in the National League with Weymouth as well as spells in the USA.
Speaking on his new signings, boss Glenn Howes told Dorchester’s media team: "Without the sad departure of Tom Killick from Poole Town clearly the recruitment of these three players wouldn’t be possible at all.
“But as soon as we found out we had a small chance of signing these three players, like many other local non-league teams, we threw our hat in the ring, and thankfully for us they’ve chosen to continue their careers with Dorchester Town.
"Will is a stalwart of 450-plus games at this level and above and will bring not only huge experience, but great leadership qualities that we’ve been craving.
“I don’t think there is many better players in the league who are so accomplished in both boxes and Will’s statistics speak for themselves.
"Corby is approaching his peak and has amassed significant experience by demonstrating his qualities on a consistent basis, which has led to Corby being one of the most complete central midfielders the league has to offer.
“His profile will certainly compliment and strengthen our engine room further.
"Jack, like our other two signings needs little to no introduction, however it gives us great pleasure introducing such an exciting talent to our supporters and club.
“Quite simply, JD has proven himself to be one of the most offensive-minded full-backs the league has to offer and in turn this has resulted in a number of goal contributions over the years."
