LOCAL Southern League teams saw their matches postponed at the weekend.
Southern Premier League South outfit Poole Town were due to host Swindon Supermarine at Tatnam Farm on Saturday, but a frozen pitch prevented the match from going ahead.
Both clubs have agreed to rearrange the fixture at the earliest possible date, with secretaries of both teams submitting forms to the Southern League first thing on Monday in order for the match to be staged on Tuesday, January 23.
Wimborne Town’s Southern League Division One South clash at home to Evesham United was also called off due to a frozen pitch.
Only two games in the Southern League Division One South were played, with the mass postponements meaning that Magpies remain top of the division despite not playing.
Tim Sills’ side return to action on Tuesday, January 30, when they travel to Paulton Rovers.
