WIMBORNE Town managed to keep a hold of top spot in the Southern League Division One South despite drawing 1-1 at home to Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
The away side had taken an early lead through George Higgins, before Billy Walker restored parity heading into the break.
Try as Wimborne might, the Magpies could not find a second to win all three points in the final 45 minutes.
Boss Tim Sills made two changes to the side victorious away at Bristol Manor Farm, with Ben Scorey and Jack Lovell replacing Scott Arnold and Harry Baker respectively.
Matty Burrows, who had just signed on a two-month loan from AFC Totton, was named on the bench and would go on to make his Magpies debut.
Wimborne would find themselves behind after three minutes amidst a Bemerton onslaught on their goal.
After Higgins had converted following a corner, Magpies had goalkeeper Ross Flitney to thank for thwarting further chances for the away side.
A goal behind but very much still in the contest, Wimborne searched for an equaliser.
It would come on the stroke of half time, Walker capitalising upon chaos in the box after Bemerton failed to clear a Wimborne free-kick.
Magpies had the entirety of the second period to find a winner, but were unable to do so.
However, results elsewhere ensure they remain top of the division.
Magpies: Flitney, Hanger, Walker, Jackson, Scorey; Griffin (Burrows, 56), Morgan, Carmichael, Neale (Munn, 67), Beale; Lovell (Baker, 82).
Unused subs: Arnold, Hoey.
