THREE Dorset-based footballers have been called up by the British Virgin Islands to compete in the CONCACAF under-20s Championship qualifiers for a shot at World Cup qualification.
Goalkeepers Harry Foden and Brandon Ridealgh, as well as midfielder Curtis Lane, will start their country's qualification campaign in what will be the early hours of Saturday morning in the UK when they face Group A hosts Nicaragua.
All three youngsters are a part of the Champion Sports academy, whilst representing different clubs in and around Dorset.
Foden has made four appearances for Dorset Premier League outfit Poole Borough this campaign, whilst his rival for the number one shirt, Ridealgh, currently features for Bournemouth Electric at senior level.
Lane meanwhile has made a handful of appearances for Wessex Premier League side Shaftesbury this campaign, including a start in the shock Dorset Senior Cup win over Southern Premier League South outfit Dorchester Town earlier on in the season.
The trio and the British Virgin Islands will take on Cuba, Belize, Nicaragua and Anguilla in a round-robin with hopes of qualifying for the tournament proper.
Qualification for the main tournament would be British Virgin Islands' first appearance at the competition proper.
